I actually thought I was ready for this, but when the news hit me, it hit me real hard. I never got to say that I appreciated her being in my life somehow. I do hope she knows. I pray that she knows that I always wanted to make her proud. I hope that she knows I am thankful she raised my dad that way.
From now on, I’ll make it a point to show how much I value and appreciate the people I have in my life.
We can never tell what the future holds. The time is now, after all.
